The original was one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. That does not mean that it wasn’t fun.

Yeah, I found it interesting from a technical perspective, but couldn’t ever get the hang of maneuvering around effectively. But it was refreshing,  different, and only cost a couple of bucks on Steam.
